Md. Mamunur Rashid

Managing Director

With over 20 years of dedicated experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Md. Mamunur Rashid specializes in supply chain capacity building, risk management, responsible business conduct, human rights due diligence, and public-private sector engagement. His extensive expertise spans social compliance (labour rights & HRDD), environmental audits across various manufacturing sectors, facility assessments for Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (OHSMS), Quality Management Systems (QMS), and GRI sustainability reporting. Proficient in remediation and development, he provides strategic solutions for systemic improvements in corporate sustainability.

He excels in navigating local, regional, and global challenges, demonstrating strong leadership and project management skills. With a commitment to sustainable business practices, he enhances supply chain capacity through targeted training and strategic alignment with organizational goals. His experience in fostering responsible business conduct positions him as a key advocate for ethical and sustainable corporate practices.

Md. Mamunur Rashid holds two postgraduate degrees—one in Economics from the University of Rajshahi and another in Environmental Science and Management from North South University, Bangladesh—equipping him with a strong foundation at the intersection of economic and environmental considerations. His dedication to driving positive change continues to shape corporate sustainability efforts globally.


Shirajum Munira

Director

Shirajum Munira is a visionary leader and expert in supply chain, gender and social sustainable development with over 19 years of experience in the development organization and manufacturing industries. She specializes in responsible business conduct and human rights due diligence (HRDD), public-private sector engagement (external-internal affairs), risk analysis and assessment, demonstrating robust project management skills. Her extensive expertise encompasses social compliance and environmental audits in various manufacturing processes and private sectors, facility assessments for Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (OHSMS), Quality Management Systems (QMS), and GRI- sustainability reporting. Proficient in remediation and development, she offers practical solutions for systemic improvement.

Committed to enhancing supply chain capacity through effective training and sustainable practices, Shirajum has extensive experience in promoting women’s empowerment and gender equality across diverse industries and communities. She has led global women’s rights strategies at Lindex and worked with ILO, PUMA, BRAC, and Bureau Veritas on compliance, gender equality, and advocacy. She continues to drive sustainable change and empower women worldwide.

Shirajum holds a Master of Science in Clothing & Textiles from the University of Dhaka and a Postgraduate degree in Governance & Development from BRAC University. She has earned numerous certifications from Social Accountability International (SAI), IRCA, UNICEF, UNDP, ITCILO: International Training Centre of the ILO, and the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI).


Dr Imrul Hasan

Consultant (Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance)

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Imrul Hasan specializes in policy advocacy, regulatory affairs, donor and partner management, private sector engagement, and project leadership. He is an internationally recognized expert in Food Safety Management System auditing, inspection, testing, training, research, quality assurance, and product development. As a certified Lead Auditor and Trainer, he has conducted extensive training and audits on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, Global GAP, and other global standards.

He has worked with major brands such as PepsiCo, Tesco, Unilever, Nestlé, Danone, Walmart, KFC, and McDonald’s, along with international organizations like GAIN, FAO, ILO, and UNICEF, across multiple countries, including the UK, Germany, USA, India, Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore. As Member Secretary of Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) technical committees, he has contributed to drafting Food Safety Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines, as well as developing certification and training programs for food businesses and regulators. He is also part of the technical committee working on third-party accredited certifications for food safety.

To strengthen his expertise, he has pursued advanced education and training. He holds a PhD in Food Safety and SPS Measures from American East Coast University, USA (2023), a U.S. Cochran Fellowship in Food Safety Regulation and Standards from USDA & The Ohio State University (2022), and a Post-Graduation in Social Compliance from BIM, Dhaka (2010). Additionally, he earned a Master’s (2004) and Bachelor’s (2003) in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Dhaka, and an LLB from National University (2012). He has also completed specialized training, including Food Safety Management at Cornell University, USA (2016) and Seafood HACCP Certification from JIFSAN, University of Maryland & USDA (2016).


Dr Nazmul Huq

Consultant (Climate Change)

Dr Nazmul Huq is an environmental planner specializing in climate change resilience, ecosystem services, human livelihoods, and ecosystem-based adaptation. His expertise lies in applying transdisciplinary methods, geospatial techniques, and open data for environmental, spatial, and sustainability decision-making. Currently, he serves as a Scientific Researcher and Coordinator at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences in Germany and as a Climate Change Consultant at UNFCCC.

With extensive experience as a researcher and project manager, Dr. Huq has collaborated with renowned organizations, including ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability, the Technical University of Cologne, the United Nations University in Bonn, Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies (BCAS), Unnayan Onneshan, Handicap International, and the United Nations Population Fund, among others. His work focuses on integrating science-based solutions into climate resilience and sustainability planning.

Dr Huq holds a PhD in Spatial and Environmental Science from the University of Trier, Germany, a Master’s in Human Ecology from the Free University of Brussels, Belgium, and a Bachelor’s in Urban and Rural Planning from Khulna University, Bangladesh.


Mustaque Md. Sami

Consultant (ICT)

Mustaque Md. Sami is a dynamic professional in Computer Science and Engineering with over 15 years of experience, specializing in GIS, Database Management, and Web Development. He has a proven track record of working on projects funded by prestigious organizations, demonstrating expertise in developing and maintaining large-scale web-based Management Information Systems (MIS) and databases.

His technical proficiency spans multiple programming languages, including PHP and JavaScript, along with frameworks such as Express.js, Next.js, and Laravel. With hands-on experience in front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Tailwind, he also possesses extensive knowledge of database systems, including Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB. Additionally, he is well-versed in GIS applications using ArcGIS and data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI and SPSS.

Certified in GIS, Oracle Database, and Advanced Web Programming Tools, he continuously enhances his expertise through ongoing training. He is particularly skilled in leveraging technology for innovative solutions, including survey data collection and management using KoboToolbox and ODK. Mustaque Md. Sami holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering, further solidifying his technical foundation.


Fahim Shahriar Pranto

Junior Consultant

Fahim Shahriar Pranto is an emerging professional in Civil Engineering with 1.5 years of experience, focusing on climate change, disaster management, and environmental sustainability. His passion for creating a greener, more resilient future drives his commitment to innovative solutions that integrate engineering principles with environmental challenges.

His journey into environmental issues began during his academic years, when he recognized the role of civil engineering in addressing sustainability and disaster resilience. Through hands-on experience, he has developed a strong foundation in climate adaptation strategies and disaster risk management.

Fahim holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology (BAUET) and is currently pursuing his Master’s in Disaster Management at the University of Dhaka, further strengthening his expertise in the field.


Rafiah Binte Noman

Junior Consultant

Rafiah Binte Noman is an animated architect with a rich blend of research-driven insights and hands-on experience in landscape and detailed architectural design. Rafiah works as a Junior Consultant at Sustainedge, preparing conceptual designs through public consultation, conducting site surveys, and developing detailed architectural drawings.

Rafiah holds a Bachelor in Architecture from Brac University, complemented by her A Levels from the British Council Chittagong and O Levels from the British Council Kuwait. Her early career experience includes an internship at the BRAC Institute of Governance and Development, where she supported senior research fellows in managing a research-based training program. With her versatile background in both governmental and private sectors, Rafiah brings a passion for architectural innovation and sustainable design to every project she undertakes.
